iPhone photo of the day
This was taken while I was helping my friend with his body of work. We went to the harbor to photograph these white paper cups that he made, placing them on the water line and floating on shallow water. It is a very conceptual work, I haven't really talked to him about the work but my understanding of it is that it is based on age. I'll be making a post about his work soon, it's amazing to see a work come to life, it was inspiring and so I took my piece from this artwork and took some photos on my phone and my teachers camera. This photo was edited using PhotoWizard and Photoshop Express
Flying High
The cloud character I originally made for a silk screen design, I have played around with this character by placing him in different environment and allowing it to experience various emotions. In this environment he is happy because he is doing what clouds do best, roaming free with no limitations. He will be used in my train ticket collection expressing different emotions.
Point n' Laugh
This guy is for my train ticket collection, he is currently sitting in my art diary. I took a picture on my phone and colored it using PhotoWizard, still unsure if he is ready to be put onto a ticket yet.
IBEN Keychain
I like this technical collection that I have started, the keychain concept is to put use to old technology being outdated and scrapped. In reality, we require keys to access places such as our homes and work, we require keys for our car to get to places we need to go. In technical terms, the keyboard is the key to our cyber reality, we log into this virtual world and the keyboard is the essential utility that allows us to create documents, emails and connect with people around the world. They are portals to our real and virtual world.

Micro flower series - red 1
I've been feeling very contemporary lately and I have been exploring new medium for me to work with. I have 'invested' in silk screening, I have my frame made up but I don't have any screen filler or squeegee so I have been held back from silk screening until I attain the necessary equipment. Since I cannot make any prints I have begun working with metal, sometime in the future I want to buy a welding machine, along with an air compressor but anyways, I can't weld so I'll have to self teach myself, same with silk screening, but it will be interesting. So I've been playing around with wires and aluminum to create shapes and patterns and I've found these flowers quite interesting, they never take the same shape, they're all different and unique, individual. This micro series I have going is part of my flower collection, the flower collection is my way of representing individuality being independent of shape, size and colour through a structural ironic metaphor of the natural beauty of a flower being re-created by man made synthetics, a flower made of metal, representing various individual identities made by one individual.

Rose with damaged petals - process
This is my first flower I made while working with metal and the first of my flower collection. The metal wire is fairly thick but fairly malleable which allowed manipulation of shape easily formed using just my hands. This is a progress shot so it is still incomplete, the name rose with damaged petals came from my most inspiring mentors, Lesane Parish Crooks, commonly known as Tupac. Not many people know much about him, they see the black rapper side of him, but when he was a teenager he wrote would write poetry, he was a poet before he was a musician. The Rose That Grew From Concrete, is a poem of his, it is this poem that has mostly inspired me to continue on in life. I can go on to talk about Tupac and how be is the rose that grew from concrete but I would be here for days, the point he got to was that anyone can defy the natural law of life and grow into something amazing even if they are being held back by a prisoning environment, but you see, people like to point the finger at it's damaged petals, don't blame the rose for it's damaged petals when it defied the law of nature when it grew from concrete.

iPhone photo of the day
This is Brown, Brown is one of my closest best friends, he's been there for me in my time of need, I refer to him as my guardian angel. Anyways, he's funny, always smiling and a great guy. My friend Blake was in hospital for a collapsed lung, I found out yesterday so I went and saw him today, later Brown came and we were mucking around on the hospital bed, Brown got on and I was tilting it on a 45 degree angle and he was freaking out, it was funny so I took some shots and he doesn't trust me with taking pictures of him because I started a Facebook fan page for him and posted a heap of funny pictures of him, it's named 'Brown =D' so joint it because it will be funny and then I can rub it in his face about how many people like him. I used PhotoWizard Editor and made a thermal shot yada yada

iPhone photo of the day
This is Neil, he is my baby bonsai. I made Dean name it because he found it funny that I named my car CD's, so I got into the habit of forcing him to name things for me. It came down to Neil or Barney, Neil for Neil Patrick Haris and Barney for his character in How I Met Your Mother. He decided on Neil because it is anything but straight, for those that are unaware, Neil Patrick Haris is gay and he plays a heterosexual character Barney on the tv show, and he is the biggest ladies man, it is so funny, he's my idol. But yea I found it funny because Neil's (the bonsai) trunk is at a 45 degree angle out of the pot, so yea he's not straight either =] Used PhotoWizard Editor for iPhone

iPhone photo of the day
Yea I know I already posted an iPhone photo of the day today but this photo was taken a couple of days ago at my friends gig, they're an acoustic duo called The Flat White Cats, originally from a grunge band called Maniket and I was supposed to upload this photo yesterday but I was busy doing things such as playing tennis and drinking tea =D In the picture is James Parish, also known as Paz, but I call him Pazarous. The photo was edited using PhotoWizard Editor, seriously it's a great app, add textures and masks yada yada. If you don't have an iPhone then get one so you can use this app, geez I should be getting paid for the product endorsing I am doing =]
iPhone photo of the day
So I'm having my trial HSC exams this week and last, today I hade a physics exam that started at 1 and went for 2 and a half hours. By the time the exam was over the school day had already come to an end and I had no way of getting home. So I called my mum to pick me up and I waited half an hour in the cold rain waiting for her. I quite enjoy the rain, it's refreshing, and it slows down my mind, I can think clear, and so while standing there listening to Angus and Julia Stone I noticed how vibrant the grass looked. Well that's not the whole truth, see I have these glasses that enhance reds and blue, they appear very exaggerated, and I like it, but of course if reds are enhanced then greens are dulled, and it was odd because the sky was so gloomy with clouds that everything appeared dull which is abnormal for me when I wear these glasses. So off they went and that's when I noticed the vibrant grass, one wet iPhone later and I had the photo that you see her, of course with the help of PhotoWizard Editor and Photoshop Mobile. PhotoWizard Editor is an iPhone app that came out about three days ago and I highly recommend it to any iPhone users out there that are big on photo editing.
